A place to stand.

Q16 measures how far AI has moved toward transformative capability, and it holds no stake in the answer. The Singularity Index takes the judgment of qualified experts and the weight of current research and reduces it to one usable score. In a field where most of the signal is marketing, that score is a place to stand. It replaces the work of hunting for objective data inside an AI hype bubble.

Membership funds that work and keeps it independent of the labs we assess. Q16 is a public benefit corporation. What you pay supports the measurement itself, and the baseline reading stays open to everyone.

Support the Youth Signal Panel

Give students a serious role in assessing frontier AI.

Q16’s high school outreach gives students a serious role in assessing frontier AI. Through the Youth Signal Panel, they complete the same kind of structured evaluation that informs our research, and their judgment enters the Index as a leading indicator. The program is free to participating schools.

Your contribution covers what it costs to run the program safely, including the assessment platform and the privacy protections required to work with minors. Any amount helps.
